The most common injury to the shoulder involves the rotator cuff muscles. These muscles/tendons provide movement and stability to our most unstable joint the shoulder. They work very hard to maintain shoulder stability and to achieve the incredible range of movement that the shoulder can achieve.
The rotator cuff muscles can be injured in a number of ways. Eg. Contact sports – falling onto the shoulder and most commonly by wear and tear or degeneration of the tendon, which can progress, to tears or rupture.
